Yeah, a little bit freaky... As soon as the new KDE (4.8) went out, my system got a strong update. This is power of Gentoo 
The same with QT... And kernel... Geez, this is getting more and more awesome. I mean KDE and QT. It's ssso fast and handy. And effective! And customizable... Guys from KDE project do a really freakin great job. They didn't give it up even when KDE 4.0 - ~4.6 got a lot of bad opinions... And now, this is perfect DE. But I'm pretty sure they will keep it developing.
